we met up with our friend, pete, who was in town for one-night-only on thursday. i thought i'd show him a drug deal in blood alley. luckily, i didn't have to arrange one, cause it was already happening by the garbage bins on our way to salt.

we decided to get a flight of wine each, and then gerry, pete and i got cheese (and meat for the boys) with condiments. we just told our server what we didn't like, or what we especially liked and he magically paired everything up for us. it doesn't look like much food, but it was definitely enough.

me: white wines only, cheeses with not veins, and no meat
pete: red wine only, some meat, some cheese, bluer is better
gerry: mixed wines, mixed cheese and meat



double tasty. pete was super-impressed with the blue cheese and honey combo. i was loving the peaches and ashy cheese. gerry thought the meats were yummy.

we all really liked it, and at $15/flight, $15/platter, it wasn't super dear. dodgy alley to get there, but totally worth it. also good? this time when we were there, it didn't feel like hipster wanna be central. maybe that's the bonus of going on a thursday?
