We were going to go to Trattoria, on W4th, but because of my messed up foot, we decided to stick closer to the hotel and then get a cab from the restaurant to Bard on the Beach.

the food was delicious.


we started with the burrata salad, which we both give two thumbs up. 'it was tasty gorgeous,' says gerry.

gerry followed his with the Pappardelle Lamb Sausage (lamb sausage pasta) and 'that was delish'.


i had the gnocchi, and a bellini martini. while i didn't love the martini, and regretted not going for the watermelon mojito special, i loved the gnocchi.


we both felt the pasta portions were ginormous, and were going to make an effort at dessert (and therefore stopped eating our mains before we reached the end) but we were just too stuffed.

gourmet food, home-style portion size.

4 stars. can't wait to go back.
